ONEflight needs an experienced high-performer Accountant. You will be responsible for the management and reporting of financial data of ONEflight. Your duties include, but are not limited to responsible for the preparing financial reports, examining, and analyzing, a company’s accounts and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Staff Accountant is an integral part of the team and will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities
  • This position will work closely with the Bookkeeper and Controller to deliver best-of-breed accounting policies and strategies
  • This role will be responsible for maintaining financial records and reports, perform account reconciliations, and assist with budget and closing processes
  • The Staff Accountant will help maintain the account receivable/payable schedule.
  • Support Semi-Monthly Payroll as needed to assist as a backup to HR.
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Provide support related to budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Reconcile bank accounts daily, verify deposits, and address related internal/external inquiries
  • Manage cash disbursement / cash receipt schedules and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
  • Assist with the company’s expense reporting activities, ensuring that all expenses are recorded accurately, receipts are verified, and any discrepancies are promptly addressed
  • Regularly review and reconcile company credit card accounts, ensuring all transactions are coded appropriately – promptly addressing any inconsistencies or questionable transactions
  • Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS degree in accounting or finance; CPA or CPA eligibility a plus
  • 4-5 years of relevant job experience.
  • Strong mathematical, accounting, and analytical skills, with demonstrated critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in an organized, detailed manner
  • Process-oriented with strong time management skills
  • Extensive QuickBooks knowledge - in depth understanding of how QuickBooks works and effects of entries on financial reports
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook), in particular
  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Advanced experience and knowledge of spreadsheets
  • Ability to work independently in a high-paced environment.
  • Must have strong analytical skills.
  • High level of efficiency and accuracy.

Salary: $92K to $113K
