ONEflight is providing the opportunity to get in from the ground up in a fast-paced, agile environment. We’re looking for someone that is driven, quick to learn, quick to own their role and responsibilities, has a solutions- oriented mindset, and regularly seeks to find new and creative ways to solve problems. Ideally, the Associate Product Owner will have at least one to two years of experience in a Software Development related Product role, with heavy focus on working with multiple teams across business units, domains, and expertise.
What you bring to the table (at a minimum):
- 2+ years of experience working in a Software Development or Engineering environment in a Product or Analysis capacity.
- 2+ years of experience working with Technical Documentation such as Business Requirements, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Test Cases, or similar.
- 1+ years of experience assisting in gathering and prioritizing product requirements from stakeholders, customers, and internal teams.
- Familiarity with Agile Software Development methodologies, principles, and best practices
- Exposure to Agile Ceremonies such as Stand Ups, Sprint Grooming, Planning, and Retrospectives.
- Technologically minded, savvy, and capable – general interest in keeping up with SDLC industry trends.
- Tertiary experience with Quality Assurance (Manual Testing, Writing or Reviewing Test Cases, Documenting Defects)
What we’re looking for (in an ideal world):
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Atlassian JIRA, CA Rally, or similar platforms.
- Extensive experience with Product Discovery Work (Gathering, defining, writing User Stories & Acceptance Criteria).
- Extensive experience with Product Development Work (Backlog Management, Prioritization, Story Grooming, Sprint Planning, Demos with Stakeholders & SMEs).
- Extensive experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple business units and domains.
- Familiarity with Software Design Industry Trends, Best Practices, and Design Thinking.
- Experience with Process Flow Diagramming Artifacts and Deliverables.
- Experience with Cloud Platforms and Technologies (Bonus Points for Microsoft Azure).
- Experienced with App Store Optimization and Management.
Responsibilities
- Own the Role – You will be the Product Owner for your Portfolio of Products, the ultimate responsibility for the products you own will fall to you, and you will own the success and challenges associated with the build out, stabilization, maintenance, and enhancement of your product portfolio.
- As the Product Owner, you will:
- Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from various business units and domains across multiple teams to gather and define the requirements for your products.
- Collaborating with designers, developers, and other stakeholders to define and refine product features.
- Utilize your analytical and cognitive capabilities to develop solutions for your products’ needs and capture them in clearly defined, succinct, comprehensive user stories with discrete, test-able acceptance criteria.
- Work with the Development Team to Groom your backlog of User Stories and work with your Scrum Master to ensure any blockers or impediments are alleviated in a timely manner.
- Ensure you are actively filling out a backlog with 2 sprints worth of User Stories at the beginning of each new Sprint.
- Prioritize your Dynamic Backlog of User Stories in alignment with changing business needs, ad- hoc production issues and special requests from Executive Leadership.
- Work with the Quality Assurance Team to help inform the design and execution of Test Cases and Automated Test Scripts for all platforms supported by the products in your portfolio.
- Develop tracking and analytics methodologies for your products’ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Return on Investment (ROI) (where applicable) and regularly communicate status reports on those metrics with leadership, stakeholders, and your team.
- Evaluate product performance and identify areas for improvement on a continuous basis.
- Lead Product Participation in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint retrospectives.
Salary Range: $70K - $90k
Position: Office based (No Remote)
